[Support Information] Supported OS Changes and Release of TypeSquare Desktop Manager v2.1.0

Dear Customers,

Thank you for using TypeSquare.

Please be informed that TypeSquare Desktop Manager v2.1.0 will be released on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026 PDT.

This version includes support for Apple silicon Macs, along with functional improvements and fixes.
In conjunction with this release, the supported operating systems for TypeSquare will also be updated.
Please see the details below:
 

  • Applicable Product:

  • Supported Operating Systems:
    [macOS]
      macOS Sonoma (14)
      macOS Sequoia (15)
      macOS Tahoe (26)

    [Windows]
      Windows 11 version 23H2 or later

    *Internet connection required

    Notes:
     - Windows 10 is no longer supported due to the end of support by Microsoft.
     - For macOS, TypeSquare supports the latest version and the previous two major versions.
     
  • Updates in TypeSquare Desktop Manager v2.1.0:
     - Added support for Apple silicon Macs (macOS version)
     - Added support for macOS Tahoe 26
     - Changed the output destination for log files to the Downloads folder
     - Improved the installation flow for Windows standard user environments by displaying a PC restart dialog before launching TypeSquare Desktop Manager when installation is performed with privilege escalation.
     - Addressed several other issues
     
  • Regarding Unsupported Operating Systems:
    Font usage will not be disabled on unsupported operating systems. However, due to the end of vendor support and security considerations, operation and technical support are not guaranteed on unsupported OS environments.
    We recommend updating to a supported operating system for stable operation.
     
  • How to Update:
    When launching TypeSquare Desktop Manager, a message saying “A new version is available” will appear.
    Please click [Update] to perform the update.
    If you select [Not Now], you can display the same message later from the [Info] tab by clicking [Check for Updates].
